Chelsea beat Tottenham 4-2 on penalties to progress to the Carabao Cup final.
N’golo Kante opened the score in the 27th minute and Eden Hazard made it 2-0 eleven minutes later. Tottenham struck one back in the second half by Llorente, as the game finished 2-1. With Spurs winning the first leg 1-0, it was 2-2 on aggregate and the winner had to be decided on penalty shootout.
Eric Dier sent one over the bar, while Kepa Arizzabalaga saved Lucas Moura’s penalty. All Chelsea players were calm from the spot, as David Luiz sent them to the Carabao Cup final.
Chelsea will take on holders City in the final on February 24 at Wembley, where Maurizio Sarri has the chance to win the first trophy of his managerial career. City won 1-0 yesterday at Burton Albion, winning the tie 10-0 on aggregate.
