Petra Kvitova and Naomi Osaka won their Australian Open semi-finals and will go head-to-head for the title on Saturday morning.
Petra Kvitova continued her excellent run in 2019 and won 11th match in a row. A 7-6 6-0 victory against Danielle Collins sent her in her first Australian Open final. Kvitova hasn’t lost a single set in the tournament so far and will play for her 3rd Grand Slam title, after previously winning Wimbledon twice.
Her opponent in the final will be tha Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka. Osaka has knocked out Petra Kvitova in the semi final this morning, winnig 6-2 4-6 6-4. Osaka will play for her 2nd Grand Slam title, as she won the US Open last year. This is also her first final in Melbourne.
Kvitova and Osaka haven’t played one against another so far, but the Czech tennis player is a slight favorite before the match.
