Alvaro Morata joins Atletico Madrid on a 18-month loan. He will spend the reminder of this season, as well as the next one, as Atletico have to option to sing him on permanent deal when the loan expires.
Morata spent four season at the Atleti academy as a youth palyer, but started his senior career at their local rivals Real Madrid. He had 2 spells as a player of Los Blancos – from 2010-2014 and in the 2016-2017 season, winning each of La Liga and the Champions League twice.
In the years between Morata played for the Italian side Juventus. He played 93 games and scored 27 goals for the Old lady, as he won the Serie A and Coppa Italia in both of the season.
After his second spell at Real Madrid, Morata signed for Chelsea in a reported £58million deal. He couldn’t really find his best form in England scoring only 16 goals for a season and a half in the Premier League.
His Chelsea nightmare is finally over, as he gets back home in Madrid.
